I did want to drop a little update however, to the few who do subscribe to my corner of Deviantart. I bought three books today, the best translation of War and Peace by Tolstoy, The Gift of Asher Lev by Chaim Potok, and In Between the Bridge and the River by, yes, CRAIG FERGUSON! I did a horrid thing and read the author's note for group discussion at the end of the book because I won't get to Ferguson's book for a while. It has only enforced my love for this man.
Today has been a rollercoaster of emotions for whatever reason. At work, I was a combination of nothing, annoyance, and expectant. I had no reason to be expectant as I found out, but I do know that after work, I went from chatty, to annoyed, to silent, to pissed? to giddy, to ridiculous, and to just OK.
oh and my Dad yelled "Wipe Out" out of the car window as we drove out of the Sonic's drive through. I knew I got it from somebody.
As of now, I'm going to go spend the next waking hours reading The Adolescent until I pass out completely enraptured by the stylings of Big D, and the translation abilities of Pevear and Volokhonsky. If you ever read Dostoevsky, or Tolstoy, any of the Russian greats, look for copies translated by those two. They're geniuses.
That's about all I can offer right now.
Bisous,
Erin

Im going to have to send you a little something now. :3

Live it, nothing more.
I want to send you one but I lost your campus address from last year (dad Jen). Can you text it or note it to me? Then you should have a little something coming...just makes Christmas last longer. ^_^
